Parkhill Freeman had the pleasure of producing the design of the new Hungry Jack's restaurant in Sunbury. Balancing the
requirements of the levels of the drive through lane, the carparking, the disabled access and the stormwater drainage
system was critical to ensuring the successful operation of the restaurant. By paying careful attention to these criteria,
a civil design was able to be produced that minimised the extent of the earthworks.
Combining the speed of erection of pre-cast concrete panels and the flexibility of lightweight framed building on a raft slab, facilitated a cost effective design that highlighted the architectural forms. In particular, the lightweight steel framed roof over the play equipment is left exposed and made a feature with a bold red paint finish.
